Solution Description

Hospital Administrative Executives manage smooth-runnning of the hospital and aim to achieve a more efficient system to manage.
Rostering is an area where data becomes useful to manage hospital operations. Patient registrations, admissions, ICD Classification, and type of Specialist sought are gathered in order to understand the demand for staff and hosptial equipment. For example, a patient undergoing outpatient treatment for a broken toe may require the use of an X-ray machine, an Orthopaedic specialist consultant, and perhaps some nurse support. Based on the trends in clinical demand, the hospital was able to efficiently roster staff and schedule medical equipment bookings, technicians in order to provide a better rostering system.
This resulted in better operational efficiency and lowered operating costs through avoiding excessive overtimes and overscheduling

Business Solutions : Metrics & Analytics
Understanding Patient Inflow and Clinical Demands

Patient demand was understood through data parameters such as registration time, outpatient specialist deparment, disease classification, follow up visit number, history of medical equipment usage etc. These parameters were combined to model the types and levels of needs for the hospital.
